How to use it, and why it matters

How to use

Read your numbers off Google

Search your business on Google or open it in Maps: the rating and the review count sit under the name. Type both in, pick a target, and leave new reviews at 5★ unless you know your recent ones average lower.

Why it matters

The first decimal is what people compare

In the map pack, people scan the stars before they read a word, and 4.8 next to 4.3 is an easy choice. The more reviews you already have, the slower the average moves, so a steady stream of new reviews beats any one big push.

Do it right

Ask everyone, every time

The fastest way to the target is asking every customer, not only the ones you expect to be happy. Google's review policies currently do not allow picking who you ask or offering anything in return. Our local SEO service sets up the asking for you.
